The Lord of the Rings
Biography:
The Uruk-hai are a formidable breed of Orcs featured prominently in Peter Jackson's film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings." They first appear in "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" (2001). Unlike common Orcs, the Uruk-hai are larger, stronger, and more resistant to sunlight.
They are bred by Saruman the White in the pits of Isengard, specifically to serve as shock troops in his army. These Orcs are created through a dark process involving both Orcs and Men. The Uruk-hai are distinguished by their dark skin, broad faces, and the symbol of the White Hand of Saruman emblazoned on their shields and armor.
Led by figures like Lurtz (a character created for the movies), they are disciplined warriors, fiercely loyal to Saruman. Their military strength and relentlessness make them a significant threat to the Free Peoples of Middle-earth, playing a crucial role in the battles depicted in the film trilogy.
